Does your mezzanine safety solution ensure full-time coverage at the edge?

Netting doesn’t always provide reliable fall protection for elevated platforms. Unlinked inner and outer gates can both be left open. RacKeeper’s link bar creates a controlled access area where both gates cannot be open at the same time — to help avoid a false sense of security.

• OSHA compliance. Meets OSHA standard 1910.28(b)(1) requiring employers to provide fall protection for personnel on walking-working surfaces 4'0" (1200 mm) or more above the lower level. Also covers OSHA standard 1910.29(k)(1) requiring employers to ensure toeboards are used on overhead walking-working surface to prevent objects from falling and injuring employees below. 
• ANSI compliance. Complies with ANSI 2009 standard section 6.4.3 published by the Storage Equipment Manufacturers Associations, which requires elevated surfaces to always be protected by guards. “Gates that swing open, slide open or lift out leaving an unprotected opening in the guarding are not acceptable." 
• IBC compliance. Meets requirements for IBC 1015.2, which states, “Guards shall be located along open-sided walking surfaces, including mezzanines, equipment platforms, aisles, stairs, ramps and landings that are located more than 30 inches (762 mm) measured vertically to the floor or grade below at any point within 36 inches (914 mm) horizontally to the edge of the open side.”
